Hunting and fishing are truly in Justin Pederson’s blood. From growing up outdoors to studying wildlife at school, he truly shines as the Sales Team Lead – Conservation, Commercial & Reclamation (CCR).
“I grew up hunting and fishing my entire life,” Justin said. “I knew my passion for the outdoors was something I wanted to continue.”
Justin received a degree in Wildlife and Fisheries Sciences at South Dakota State University and after graduation worked with the US Fish and Wildlife Service, Natural Resource Conservation Service and SD Conservation Districts. With the valuable exposure, experience and tools he’d learned, Justin was ready to start his career. He joined the Millborn team in December 2015.
At Millborn, Justin works with both landowners and state/federal agencies to provide knowledge and products to fit their needs and goals. There are many obstacles and hurdles to jump when planning and implementing a conservation project, and Justin thrives in assisting with these needs.
“I want to be able to help people put conservation back on the ground and do my part to help manage wildlife and resources,” Justin said. “I’m here to help walk you through both the technical (background) and boots on the ground (planting) side of conservation.”
Outside the office, Justin continues to live his passion and spends time hunting and fishing. He also enjoys sports and spending time with friends and his family; his wife, Ally and their black lab, Gunner.
