As President, Marcus spends his day working on reports, tracking projects, reviewing revenue and looking at data, all to determine growth opportunities.
“I have a very internal focused role,” Marcus said. “I’m being successful in my role when I’m providing quality information and suggestions based on our data to our team, so they can be more successful in what they do.”
Marcus started as an accounting intern in 2014 and accepted a full-time role in 2015.
“As soon as I started as an intern at Millborn Seeds, I fell in love with this team, culture and what we do,” Marcus said. “Each day is a new day. I love playing a role in being excellent. We collectively set our mind to something and work our butts off to get there.”
Marcus is competitive and passionate, especially when it comes to math.
“I enjoy the challenge of figuring out all the pieces to a problem and how to best put them together,” Marcus said about why he studied Math at South Dakota State University. “Math teaches you how to look at a situation and see what can and cannot be changed. What can we actually change to make a difference?”
Outside the office, Marcus enjoys spending time with family. He and his wife, Holly, enjoy games, sports and anything outdoors.
