Walker Sik is Millborn’s Grain + Forage Product Manager. Half of his time is spent as an agronomist, taking field calls, completing field visits and talking with customers about products and solutions to any challenges that may arise. The rest is spent procuring seed and communicating with seed growers to help them be successful.
Walker started working in the Millborn Warehouse in the Spring of 2015, held an internship in the Spring of 2018, and accepted a full-time position in the Fall of 2018.
“I love the culture of the company,” Walker said. “Millborn truly values who they are and who they work with. We have an awesome team that prioritizes culture and the customers we support.”
Walker grew up on a sheep and crop farm alongside his three younger brothers. Having primarily livestock background, Walker attended South Dakota State University for Agronomy to diversify his knowledge in agriculture.
“I realized there is more than just corn and soybeans out there,” Walker said. “Millborn covers a different side of the industry that most of the industry does not see every day.”
Walker continues to work to improve our seed quality for you and your family, as well as provide the resources you need to be successful.
On the weekends, Walker enjoys snowmobiling, hunting, watching sports, working on the farm and spending time with family and friends.
