This water loving annual grass will produce grain while thriving in marshes and wetlands. Wild Rice needs very clean, calm, and cold water to grow that is 6-18 inches deep. It should be seeded dormant or in the spring, and prior to planting the seed needs to be soaked for 48 hours.
