Millborn Seeds will be soliciting proposals for Bin, Storage, and Distribution Facility Lease within close proximity to Millborn locations. The proposal will be for February 1st, 2026 to June 30th, 2026 with options to renew annually and needs to meet these requirements:
- Be able to store various designated specialty grains or oilseed commodities
- Ability to process up to 3,500,000 bushels annually
- Flat storage capacity up to 120,000 sq ft with multiple loading docks for shipping and receiving
- On-site truck scale required
- Be within SD and NE preference given to locations along I-29, I-80, and I-90
- Be conducive for semis and various large equipment to enter/exit the property in all weather conditions
- 24-hour access to location for Millborn Seeds employees to ship and receive product
This project is being supported with U.S. Department of Agriculture, Specialty Grains and Oilseeds: Covering America from Coast to Coast Grant. Therefore, certain restrictions and other federal requirements attach to this opportunity.
Separate sealed proposals for Bin, Storage, and Distribution Facility Lease will be received by Dani Murray at Millborn corporate offices at 2132 32nd Ave Brookings, SD 57006 until 5:00 pm CST January 30th, 2026 and then at said office publicly opened and read aloud. Any person with disability requiring special accommodations must contact the Millborn no later than 2 days prior to the proposal opening.
A MANDATORY Pre-proposal Meeting will be held at 5:00 pm CST Thursday January 29th, 2024 at 2132 32nd Ave Brookings, SD 57006. All proposers are required to attend the Pre-Proposal Meeting and sign the attendance sheet at the meeting. Proposals received from proposers who have not attended the Pre-Proposal Meeting and signed the attendance sheet at the meeting will be considered nonresponsive.

Proposers must agree to comply with Prevailing Wage Rate provisions per the South Dakota Department of Labor, if applicable, in addition to the Federal Davis-Bacon Act, whichever is higher.
The successful proposer will have to sign an agreement that they are enrolled and participating in a Federal Work Authorization Program (“FWAP”) that ensures that all of its employees or agents or subcontractors have the legal right to work in the United States, as defined in 8 U.S.C. 1324a(h)(3) and RSMo § 285.525-285.555, and that it will maintain this compliance for the entire duration of its contract with the Millborn, and will provide an Affidavit of Compliance to the Millborn stating the same.
The owner reserves the right to waive any informalities or to reject any or all proposals.
